NASI-Reliance Industries Platinum Jubilee Awards 2022 is an initiative by the National Academy of Sciences (NASI) for Indian/Overseas citizens under the age of 50 years. The awards will be presented in the areas of Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences. The award carries a cash prize of INR 3 lakhs and a plaque.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, the applicant must -
- Be an Indian citizen or Overseas citizen of India working in India
- Be below the age of 50 years as of April 15, 2022
Benefits Three awards each will be given in Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences every year. Each award carries INR 3 lakhs in cash and a plaque.
Documents - One hard copy of the nomination
- One set of reprints of not more than 10 publications in the last 5 years
- Particulars of membership/fellowship in academies/societies/professional bodies
- A brief write-up (max. 2 pages) outlining significant research contributions reflecting application-oriented innovations made by the nominee during the last five years for which he/she is recommended for the present award
- Recommendations from two additional experts in support of the “Application-Oriented Work” of the nominee.

How can you apply? Follow the steps below to apply for the awards:
Step 1: Click on the "Apply Now" button and read all the fellowship details.
Step 2: Send the hard copy of the nomination with one set of reprints of not more than 10 publications that are considered the best in the last 5 years to the below-mentioned address -5, Lajpat Rai Road, Mumfordganj, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh - 211002
Note - Also, the soft copy of the nomination with all relevant information must be forwarded to NASI’s email at – nasi.allahabad1@gmail.com.

The selection will be based on the regulations of NASI.

Terms and Conditions
- A candidate can only be nominated once.
- The nomination will be made in the prescribed format.
- The presentation of the awards will be made at the time of the 92nd Annual Session of NASI, to be held in December 2022.
- The areas in the Physical Sciences include – Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Nanotechnology, Information & Computer Sciences, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.
- A nomination will remain valid for consideration for 3 years or the age eligibility whichever expires earlier.
