Naropa Fellowship Programme 2018 invites application from graduate students/professionals working in any field. The fellowships aim to offer a fully sponsored one-year residential postgraduate programme to the selected candidates who will display commitment towards the upliftment of Ladakh and the Himalayan region.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility - An applicant must be an undergraduate or postgraduate in any field from a recognised institution.
- Applicant must have a strong academic record and extra-curriculum engagement.
- Students/working professionals from elsewhere, interested in ecological issues, cultural preservation, entrepreneurship, travel and tourism are also eligible.
Note: Preference will be given to the candidates from Ladakh and the Himalayan regions across India, Nepal and Bhutan.
Benefits The fellowship will cover:
- Tuition fee for the residential programme
- Hostel Accommodation
- Meals

1st Round of Admissions Opens: 27th April 2018
Interviews for Round 1 Commence: 25th May 2018
1st Round of Admissions Closes: 31st May 2018
2nd Round of Admissions Opens: 1st June 2018
Interviews for Round 2 Commence: 25th June 2018
2nd Round of Admissions Closes: 5th July 2018
3rd Round of Admissions Opens: 6th July 2018
Interviews for Round 3 Commence: 25th July 2018
3rd Round of Admissions Close: 10th August 2018
Programme Commences at the Hemis Campus: 1st of September, 2018
Selection Criteria
Selected candidates will be called in for a personal interview in Hemis, Leh, New Delhi or via Skype/Phone. The fellowship will be awarded by the Naropa Scholarship Board on the basis of merit as well as the financial need of the candidate.
