About The Program
Nagaland State Research Scholarship 2023-24 is an initiative of the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland to provide financial assistance to Scheduled Tribe and Indigenous students of Nagaland who are pursuing M.Phil/Ph.D/D.Litt. course. The selected students will receive financial assistance to pursue higher education.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be a Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Indigenous student of Nagaland
- be pursuing M.Phil/Ph.D/D.Litt. course from recognized university within India
Note: Entry into this scheme is only in the first year of the research.

The selected candidates will receive financial assistance to continue their studies.
Documents
- Attested xerox copy of Class 10 admit card
- Attested xerox copy of last qualifying final examination Marksheet
- Attested xerox copy of Scheduled Tribe certificate and Indigenous certificate issued by the competent designated authority
- A copy of the synopsis of the proposed Research Work duly countersigned by the Guide or Supervisor (for PhD scholars)
- Xerox attested copy of the registration card/letter (for PhD scholars)
- Xerox copy of the front page of bank passbook
- Xerox copy of the Aadhaar card
- Xerox copy of the admission receipt
- One recent passport photograph should be pasted on the printed form
How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the opportunity by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Register' button on the left-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 4: Fill in the required details to complete the registration process. (Note: If the applicant is already registered, kindly log in using valid credentials)
Step 5: After successful registration, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents (if required) and submit.
Step 6: Take a printout of the application form and submit it along with the xerox copy of the documents to the Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland at the address:
