The Monash University offers scholarship opportunities for International students in Australia. The scholarship is available for candidates pursuing PhD program that would focus on generating explanations from Bayesian networks.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility The successful applicant must have:
- a first class Honours degree or equivalent and/or a Master's degree by thesis in a relevant field
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- familiarity and demonstrated expertise in Bayesian networks
- research experience relevant to the research topic
- to meet Monash University's minimum English language proficiency requirements for entry into a higher degree by research program
Expressions of Interest (EOI) should comprise of:
- a cover letter that includes a brief statement of the applicant's suitability for and interest in the position
- a curriculum vitae, including a list of any published work
- a statement from the candidate explaining their interest in the field
- a statement of academic record, supported by scanned copies of relevant certified transcripts and grading systems of each qualifications
- completed Expression of Interest Form

Step 3- Obtain an invitation to apply and/or find a supervisor
Step 4- Prepare your documentation
Step 5- Submit an application. Review our Step-by-step application guide prior to creating an application.
Step 6- You must have an applicant ID and password in order to prepare and submit an application. If you do not have any and never register please use register page to register.
Applications for research degree candidature and/or scholarship are by invitation only. If you do not already have an invitation to apply please read the information on how to obtain an invitation.
Step 7- Fill the online application
Note- Applications can take up to six weeks to be processed. Once the assessment process is complete you will be formally notified of the outcome. If you have applied for a scholarship you will be advised of the scholarship decision at the conclusion of the scholarship round.
If you receive an offer of admission and/or an offer of scholarship support, you are required to formally accept or decline the offer(s).

- International student enquiry form
- International students on a student visa must have health cover for the length of their visa while studying in Australia and this is not covered by the scholarship
- Expressions of Interest are sought from outstanding candidates to undertake PhD studies in the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University under the supervision of Associate Professor Kevin Korb
- The scholarship would be void if the applicant changes supervisor and/or project.
