About The Program

Minority Scholarship, Maharashtra 2022-23 is an initiative of the Minority Development Department, Government of Maharashtra to financially help minority students pursuing MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTH, BOTH, BASLP, BP&O, BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing, BPMT, Ophthalmic Assistant, Optometry, PB BSc Nursing and courses affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik. The selected students will receive a total annual course fee or INR 25,000 (whichever is less).

To be eligible, an applicant must - 

  • be a domicile of Maharashtra
  • belong to Muslim, Buddhism, Christian, Jain, Sikh, Parsi, Jews religion
  • have taken admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTH, BOTH, BASLP, BP&O, BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing, BPMT, Ophthalmic Assistant, Optometry, PB BSc Nursing
    and courses affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik
  • have taken admission to the course through CET/competitive exam/HSC marks obtained
  • have an annual family income of less than equal to INR 8 lakh
Benefits

The selected students will receive a total annual course fee or INR 25,000 (whichever is less).

  • School leaving certificate
  • New applicants need to submit HSC and SSC marksheet (Not applicable for renewal)
  • Income certificate of Parents/Form no 16 (Note - In the income certificate/Affidavit, it should be clear cut mentioned that candidate belongs to a minority community.)
  • Domicile certificate
  • Aadhar card
  • Previous year's marksheet
  • Father’s PAN card
  • Mother’s PAN card (optional)
  • Student’s PAN card (optional)

If a candidate is studying outside Maharashtra the following documents need to be submitted - 

  • Letter from concerned council/Authority stating the institute is recognized.
  • Copy of FRA
  • Bonafide for current academic year
How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on 'New Applicant Registration'. 
Step 3: Fill in all required details, verify the email and phone number.
Step 4: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometrics. 
Step 5: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.
Step 6: Complete the registration process by filling in all the required details.
Step 7: Log in using the username and password. 
Step 8: Complete the scholarship application, upload the necessary documents and submit.

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

Terms and Conditions
  • 30% of seats are reserved for girls. 
  • The candidates studying outside Maharashtra but are domiciled in Maharashtra are eligible for the scholarship.
