Microsoft AI Idea Challenge Contest 2018 is open to developers, students, professionals and data scientists seeking original and advanced artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
Microsoft AI Idea Challenge Contest 2018
DeadlineClosed Eligibility The contest is open to developers, students, professionals and data scientists who are 18 years of age or older. Minors must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Benefits The top three ideas will each receive prizes along with an opportunity to showcase the idea with Microsoft on AI Lab.- 1st Prize: Microsoft 13.5 inches Surface Book 2 Multi-Touch 2-in-1 Notebook
- 2nd Prize: DJI Drone - DJI Mavic Pro Bundle (Drone, Bag, Extra Props)
- 3rd Prize: Xbox One
How can you apply? Steps to apply:
- Step 1: Click here to open the application form
- Step 2: Fill in personal details, project description and upload the related files
- Step 3: Submit the project
Note: Individuals or teams must submit a working AI model, test dataset, any demo app and a demo video (max. 3 minutes long) to qualify for the competition.
Selection Criteria
The ideas will be judged on the following parameters:
- 50% originality of the idea
- 20% solutions feasibility
- 30% complexity to implement
Terms and Conditions
- Preference will be given for solutions developed on Microsoft AI Platform and services
- The entry must be an original work
- The entry must not have been selected as a winner in any other contest
- All consents, approvals, or licenses required for submission of the entry are mandatory
- Employees and directors of Microsoft Corporation and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising agencies, and Contest Parties are not eligible, nor are persons involved in the execution or administration of this promotion, or the family members of each above (parents, children, siblings, spouse/domestic partners, or individuals residing in the same household)
- The contest stands void in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Region of Crimea, and where prohibited
- The entry limit is one per person overall
- Winners will be selected within 14 days following the event
