Merit scholarship to undergraduate girl students is introduced by the Haryana Government. It invites application from 10 topper girl students who after passing 12th class with at least 60% marks are studying in any Govt. College pursuing a general degree course. The objective of this scheme is to enable meritorious girl students of Haryana to pursue higher education. It has been instituted in order to attain the national goal of making all our efforts to provide good education and bringing women into the mainstream of the society. The selected students will receive INR 3000 per college per student annually. The selection is made strictly on the basis of merit and on the recommendation of the Head of Institutions.

- This Scholarship will be given to the girl students who after passing 12 class with at least 60% marks are studying in any Govt. College
- The awards will be given only to the students pursuing general degree courses
- Students who pursue their studies through correspondence course/open universities are not eligible for the award.
- A Scholarship holder under this scheme will not hold any other Scholarship/Stipend. However, they may accept a grant of minority help from the State Govt. or any other source for the purchase of books, equipment’s or for meeting the expenses of boarding and lodging.
- There is no income limit for this scheme.
How can you apply? The application can be done by post with the following steps:
Step 1: Download the application form.
Step 2: Fill all the details.
Step 3: Attach all the documents.
Step 4: Submit it to the respective head of institution, who will further forward the complete documents to the ministry as per the prescribed format.
Terms and Conditions
Value of scholarship:
- No. of fresh Scholarships to be awarded are for ten girl students per college
- The value of the Scholarship awarded will be INR 3000/- per student per annum
- The Scholarships are tenable for pursuing a general academic course in the Govt. Colleges only
Mode of selection:
- The award shall be made strictly on merit basis. In case more than one student secure equal marks/percentage of the marks to be worked out up to three decimal places. The Candidate junior most in age shall get the first priority.
- The Scholarship will be awarded on the recommendation of the Head of the institution, forwarded with the complete documents on the prescribed Performa. In respect of the eligible Candidate, the awarding authority prescribed it before due/prescribed date every year.
- The Scholarship shall be canceled if the particulars furnished in the declaration/application form is found to be incomplete/incorrect.
- If the Scholar is found to be ineligible at any stage due to any reason, the Scholarship renewal will not be given.
- The Scholarship is depended on the satisfactory progress and conduct of the Candidate.
- The Scholarship can be changed at any time at the discretion of the Govt.
- The Principals will send the list of awarded students to the Directorate along with the receipt as a proof of amount paid.
