About The Program

Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Delhi invites applications for Merit-cum-Means Linked Financial Assistance Scheme 2017 from students pursuing higher education in State Universities of Delhi. The scheme has been launched by the Delhi Government to enhance high quality higher education for meritorious economically weaker sections of the society.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible for the scholarship:

  • Candidate must be pursuing an undergraduate program in any of the Delhi State Public Universities or colleges/ institutes affiliated to Delhi State Public Universities.
  • Candidate must have to fulfill the economic/income/academic performance criteria as specified for each category mentioned below:

Eligibility (Gross Annual Family Income of Student from all Sources)

Qualifying Aggregate Percentage (Marks in All Subjects)

Percentage of Financial Assistance

Category 1 -Beneficiary under National Food Security Scheme & possess the Card issued under the Scheme

60 %

Category 2 - Not covered under category 1 but whose family income is up to INR 2.50 Lac p.a.

Category 3 - Family income above INR 2.50 Lac p.a. but not exceeding INR 6 Lac p.a.

60 %

25%

Note: A relaxation of 5% in qualifying aggregate percentage of marks will be allowed to SC/ST Category students. 

How can you apply?

Procedure to apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Open the link to apply.
Step 2: Login as a new user.
Step 3: Fill in all the details.
Step 4: Attach all the required documents.
Step 5: Submit the application form.

Terms and Conditions

Documents Required:

  • Copy of Mark sheet / Certificate of having passed class XII or qualifying the examination.
  • Certificate related to SC/ST Category 
  • Copy of Pass-Book / E-Statement of the student bank account.
  • Aadhar Card Details.
  • Copy of valid annual family income certificate.
  • All previous mark sheets/certificate from concerned University/institution of the current programme.

Where to submit an application form for this scheme?
The student has to register himself/herself at the link https://edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in. A hard copy of the application along with uploaded documents is required to be submitted at the concerned College/Institute/University.
