About The Program

The Center for Adaptive Rationality (ARC) is seek­ing applic­ants for two research intern­ships. Research intern­ships typ­ic­ally last 3 months. The anti­cip­ated start date is June 1, 2017. It is a chance to par­ti­cip­ate in an inter­na­tional and inter­dis­cip­lin­ary research team and an excel­lent learn­ing oppor­tun­ity for stu­dents inter­ested in judg­ment and decision mak­ing. 

The Max Planck Society explicitly encourages handicapped indi­vidu­als and women to apply for the research intern­ships.

Essential require­ments

  • Applicant must be enrolled in Psy­cho­logy, Eco­nom­ics or a related sub­ject at a European Uni­versity
  • High interest in par­ti­cip­at­ing in research on judg­ment and decision-mak­ing
  • High flex­ib­il­ity, com­mittment & pro­fi­ciency in Eng­lish

Desired requirements; but not essential

  • Exper­i­ence in con­duct­ing lit­er­at­ure search
  • Skills in stat­ist­ics and stat­ist­ical soft­ware pack­ages
  • Skills in qual­it­at­ive data ana­lysis
