APC Microbiome Ireland is offering a postdoctoral APEX (APC Postdoctoral Excellence) fellowship APEX Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFUND Fellowship, Ireland 2019 to experienced researchers anywhere in the world. The aim of APEX is to develop the next generation of international scientific leaders who will gain hands-on experience and develop cross-disciplinary and entrepreneurial skills through individual research projects with a mandatory secondment to a non-academic research partner during their two years of fellowship. The program expects fellows who are seeking a prestigious career development fellowship in research of the gut microbiota and their role in human health and disease.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 754535. The candidates selected for the programme will receive a fellowship for carrying out research in Ireland.
Follow the steps below to apply for the fellowship:
Step 1: Visit the web page here and read the APEX Guidelines (Application Guidelines Call 2 2019).
Step 2: Check eligibility and ensure whether the candidate has the necessary research experience and if he/she complies with the programme’s mobility requirements.
Step 3: Complete the Expression of Interest template EoI and send it to the APEX Programme Manager at APEX@ucc.ie.
Step 4: Identify a potential host supervisor from the academic supervisors listed on this website. Following submission, a letter of support from the host supervisor is required in order for the proposal to progress to peer-review.
Step 5: Prepare the research project proposal.
Step 6: Submit the research project proposal and documents by email to APEX@ucc.ie before the call deadline.
