About The Program

Make for India Competition is presented by Space kidz India and Abdul Kalam International Foundation for all the young budding college students, who feel there talent goes untapped and unnoticed, in the field of research. Space Kidz India is giving an opportunity to all college students, a platform to exhibit there brimming talent in the science genre.

Theme:

  • Space Kidz India,in collaboration with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation, brings forth "Make for India", a competition for all the young budding college students, who feel there talent goes untapped and unnoticed, in the field of research. Space Kidz India is giving an opportunity to all college students, a platform to exhibit there brimming talent in the science genre.
  • Innovation is the root of the knowledge development,economic growth, job opportunities, and with continuous efforts, presents opportunities to establish leadership among other competing countries. With such potential benefits in the horizon, India is the best place to instigate the appetite for product innovation (not copying, absolutely new to the world) such that the needs of the country is satisfied with the available knowledge, material, and resource. Students be self sufficient, manufacture, produce, invent, discover products or technology that can be implemented at economical pricing.
  • Mold your young minds, instigate the appetite to dream and invent new things, make it to reality.
  • Why just "Make in India", why not "Make for India" and by an Indian.
  • Funding support will be extended to most economic and viable projects.

Finals:

  • A panel of Professors from reputed Educational Institutions / Scientists will validate the projects based on the Innovation, Creation and Presentation of the project.
  • Top 100 projects will be chosen by the eminent jury
  • These 100 projects will be published on a Face book page on the 18th June, and voting will be in vogue as a second round of competition until 5th July 2016 for the "Top 25 Projects", 25 finalists will be chosen. This is to showcase the Scientific talents of Indian Students to the World.
  • The 25 Finalist will have to travel to Chennai, on the 18th July and showcase their project, live. 5 minutes time will be awarded to each student to make a presentation to the jury.
  • Q&A by the jury will take place

Awards:

  • Trophies will be awarded to all the Finalists
  • All the Participants will be awarded Certificates
  • The Winner, Runners up, prizes will be awarded in the name of the great Scientist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, during the 1st anniversary celebrations at Rameshwaram on the 27th July.
  • Industrial workshop in India will be awarded to all the 25 Finalists.
