To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian citizen
- be a domicile of Maharashtra
- belong to Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes (VJNT) and Special Backward Class (SBC) category
- be pursuing professional courses in Engineering, Medical, Veterinary, Architecture, and Agriculture, etc.
- be eligible for a post-matric scholarship
- have an annual family income of less than or equal to ₹1,00,000
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive the award as follows:-
Maintenance allowance for students staying in college attached hostel:-
- For 4 to 5 years course (Medical, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, Architecture, etc.): ₹700 per month for 10 months
- For 2 to 3 years course (Engineering Diploma, MBA, MSW, etc.): ₹500 per month for 10 months
- For courses with 2 years and lesser duration (BEd, DEd, etc): ₹500 per month for 10 months
Maintenance allowance for students not staying in government hostel:-
- For 4 to 5 years course (e.g. Medical, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, Architecture, etc.): ₹1,000 per month for 10 months
- For 2 to 3 years course (e.g. Engineering diploma, MBA, MSW, etc.): ₹700 per month for 10 months
- For courses with 2 years and lesser duration (e.g. B.Ed., D.Ed., etc.): ₹500 per month for 10 months
Documents
- Caste and income certificate issued by a competent authority
- Leaving certificate
- College admission receipt
- Caste validity certificate (Only for professional courses)
- Applicant's registration/application ID with a post-matric scholarship scheme
- Warden letter (Note:- Applicable only when the applicant is not getting admitted to a government hostel or attached hostel to college)
- Student affidavit (In case, a student is staying outside of the hostel)
- Principal letter (In case, if a student is getting admission to an attached hostel)
- Rent agreement of private hostel/place (In case, if a student is staying outside of the hostel)
How can you apply?
Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button at the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha and click on the 'Register' button.
Step 5: After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 6: Log in using the username and password.
Step 7: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship will not be granted for more than 2 professional courses.
- A scholarship recipient is allowed to switch from a non-professional course to a professional course but not the other way around.
- If an applicant fails in a particular year, they will receive the maintenance allowance for that specific academic year. However, they will not be eligible to receive the benefit until they successfully get promoted to the next higher class.
- The applicants who are residing outside the hostel are required to submit a certificate that they had applied for the government hostel and college hostel but could not get admission even though they are eligible for admission.
- Applicants who have received admission in a government hostel are not entitled to maintenance allowance.
- Scholarships or freeships will continue to be provided to students until they complete one course, such as 11th or 12th grade Arts, B.A., M.A., M.Phil., or Ph.D. If a student completes both B.A. and B.Ed. degrees and later decide to pursue an M.A., they will no longer be eligible for scholarship/freeship benefits. However, if a student opts for an M.B.A. following their B.Ed., they may be eligible for scholarship or freeship support, as it is considered a professional postgraduate course.
- Applicants should have been admitted to the hostels attached to professional colleges or should produce a certificate for the non-availability of the rooms.
