About The Program
MAFSU Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna, Maharashtra 2023-24 is an initiative of the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU), Government of Maharashtra to provide financial assistance to the students who are wards of registered labour and marginal farmers to pursue higher education. The selected students will receive up to ₹30,000 for 10 months.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a domicile of Maharashtra
- be a child of registered labourer/child of alpabhudarak or both
- be a hosteller
- have taken admission in a professional and technical course (UG/PG degree) in a recognised institution
- have taken admission under the general category
- have attempted every semester or annual exams
- have a minimum of 50% attendance in the previous semester (except for fresh admitted to college)
- have an annual family income of less than ₹6,00,000
- not have a gap of 2 years during the course
- must attempt every semester or annual exam.
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive the following benefits for a duration of 10 months as follow:

How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Click on the 'New Applicant Registration' button at the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 4: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number.
Step 5: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometrics.
Step 6: After completing the authentication process, fill in all the required details to 'Register'.
Step 7: Now, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 8: Log in using the username and password.
Step 9: Fill in the necessary details, upload the specified documents, and submit.

- 33% of the seats are reserved for girls.
- The applicant cannot receive maintenance allowance from any other scheme.
- Candidates from deemed and private universities are not eligible for this scholarship.
- For the current academic year, only two children per family are eligible for the scheme's benefits.
- Students who benefited from the scholarship last year are eligible to apply for the renewal scholarship.
- To renew the application, students should utilize the assigned application ID, and the published list is available on the Department of Art's website.
