Kashmir Education Initiative (KEI) in collaboration with Iqbal Memorial Trust (IMT) has organized a scholarship for meritorious students presently studying in the 9th standard. KEI believes in providing educational opportunities to Kashmiri children who wish to receive education and bring a positive change in their life and society. Through the High School Scholarship Program (HSSP), the KEI aims to provide financial support to Kashmiri children who are at risk of discontinuing education due to financial constraints.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility This scholarship is open for students who:
- Are currently in 9th standard
- Have secured more than 75% marks in their 8th standard examination conducted by DIET in November 2018
- Do not have an annual family income exceeding INR 3,00,000
- Are the domiciles of Kashmir
Benefits The selected students will receive a scholarship of INR 10,000.
Documents The following documents are necessarily required:
- Self-attested copy of class 8 mark sheet
- Proof of annual household income duly signed by concerned tehsildar or president of local masjid committee
- Four recent passport size photographs
How can you apply? Candidates need to follow the below steps to apply:
Step 1: Download the application form Or collect at the KEI office.
Step 2: Fill in the required details.
Step 3: Attach the necessary documents.
Step 4: Get the application form attested by the Principal or Headmaster of the current school.
Step 5: Submit the application at the KEI office or at the authorised collection centres.Note: The details of authorised centres can be found here.

- Deadline for submission- 26th December 2018
Selection Criteria
The scholarships are granted completely on Merit cum Means basis. After scrutiny of the applications, KEI may conduct an aptitude test of the shortlisted candidates.

- The applicants should be in 9th standard.
- All the information provided by the applicant will be verified using multiple sources, any wrong information provided will result in disqualification.
- Incomplete applications without necessary attached documents will be immediately rejected.
