To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be a resident of India
- be less than 30 years of age as of 1st May 2023
- be a graduate/postgraduate professional
- have 1-7 years of work experience in areas like science, humanities, engineering, medicine, agriculture and other professional backgrounds
- be fluent in English and at least one Indian language to work on field projects
- be aware of the risk factors related
- be willing to commit time to engage in deeper and develop a potential career
Note -Professional experience in social work is not mandatory. However, candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Benefits
Selected candidates will receive the following benefits -
- A monthly stipend of INR 30,000 to cover the cost of boarding, lodging and other living expenses.
- Travel expense reimbursement to attend training and travel to field projects. Any other travel expenses incurred on the instruction of the programme management team will also be reimbursed.
- An optional exposure visit (relevant to the field project/domain of fellows’ interest) outside the field project. Each fellow may apply once for the exposure visit during the fellowship tenure.
- A Group Policy for cashless medical and personal accident insurance.
- Fellows completing all the fellowship components will be awarded a completion certificate and recommendation.
- Each fellow will have a counselling session with mentors and leaders to focus on their future career planning.
- They will also receive placement support and references wherever needed.
Note - Fellows are eligible for a 7-day leave in each term of their development project, subject to approval by their reporting manager at the project location and the Fellowship Programme Head.

Selection Criteria
Candidates will be shortlisted after undergoing a strict screening process through telephone interviews. After the shortlisting process, the candidates will have to attend an assessment where they will go through different activities to prove their suitability and commitment to the program. At last, the selected candidates will be invited to join the fellowship program.
Terms and Conditions
Fellows will be monitored for their progress and learning. It is an open fellowship program. A comprehensive assessment comprising the following will be undertaken-
- On-going assessment of Development Projects based on self-reports and host community/project manager
- Evaluation of successful completion of all mandatory training and assignments
- On-going tracking of Fellows’ blogs and feedback from Field Mentors
- Comprehensive end-of-project report
- Completion of the mandatory period of fellowship
- No formal exams or tests will be conducted
- An end-term review will be conducted after completing all the development projects.
