About The Program

Johnson & Johnson invites applications for Women in STEM2D Scholars Program 2017 from women who are willing to pursue research in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Manufacturing and Design (STEM2D). 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible for the award, an applicant must -

  • Be a woman working in the field of STEM2D (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Manufacturing and Design). 
  • Be an assistant female professor or hold an equivalent global faculty position while applying at a recognized University, Design School or Institution. 
  • Hold a minimum degree for appropriate field -
    • Science - MD, PhD
    • Technology - PhD
    • Engineering - PhD
    • Math - MS, PhD
    • Manufacturing - PhD
    • Design - MA, MS, MArch, MDes, MLA, MFA, PhD

Eligible candidates can apply through following steps -

Step 3: Fill in all required details and submit necessary documents. 
Step 4: Finally submit the application form.

Terms and Conditions

Documents to be submitted

  • Letter of recommendation issued by the department head. 
  • A write-up of 1000 words detailing the proposed area of research. 
  • A one-minute digital video describing the impact of research on the respective area of STEM2D. 
  • Three selected pieces of portfolio or publications in PDF format representing the important contributions of the applicant in recent five years. 
  • A resume of 3 pages comprising the list of presentations, publications, abstracts, the current financial support obtained, two references and other folio works. 
  • A brief outline of the proposed research budget. 
  • A five-minute digital video depicting the summary of proposed research and its societal impact. 

Award details

The selected scholars will receive USD 50000 per annum under this program for 3 years payable in the year 2018.
