About The Program
Jawaharlal Nehru University School of Computational & Integrative Sciences (SCIS) Junior Research Fellowship 2022 is a research opportunity offered to MSc degree holders. The fellowship is meant for a SERB funded project entitled - "Unravelling Chromatin Dynamics and Epigenomic Features to Understand Novel Regulatory Aspects of Drought Stress Response in Rice”. The selected fellows will receive a fellowship as per SERB rules.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Hold an M.Sc. degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology
- Have NET/GATE qualification
- Have good computer skills (Linux, Perl, Java, Python, MySQL etc.), with proven experience in NGS data analysis, bioinformatics and/or advanced molecular biology techniques

- The initial appointment can be for six months or as per the recommendation of the selection committee, which can be extended on the basis of the assessment of the candidate’s performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority.
- The eligible candidates may further be shortlisted based on their qualifications/experience depending on the total number of applications received.
- JNU can select a candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate and reserves the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee.
