Jal Bachao - Video Banao - Puraskar Pao Contest 2018 invites the citizens of India to submit a video made by them on water conservation. This is a fortnightly contest that aims to create mass awareness on water conservation.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility The applicant must be an Indian resident.
Benefits 3 winners are selected every fortnight.
- Winner holding 1st position gets a cash prize of INR 25,000.
- Winner holding 2nd position gets a cash prize of INR 15,000.
- Winner holding 3rd position gets a cash prize of INR 10,000.
How can you apply? The candidates must follow the steps mentioned below to submit their videos for the contest:
Step 1: The applicant must upload their entry on YouTube.
Step 2: Now register on MyGov by clicking here.
Step 3: Now, login using the registered email or mobile number and password.
Step 4: Click here to go to the contest page and click on 'Do this task now' button to activate your entry.
Step 5: Select ‘Submit your task’ under ‘All Comments’ section and upload your YouTube video link.
Important Dates
- The contest is being held every fortnight.
- The fortnightly dates of the contest are as follows:
7th October to 21st October
22nd October to 4th November
Selection Criteria
The videos submitted by the applicants will be evaluated on the basis of creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, artistic merit, quality and content of video, and its visual impact.
Terms and Conditions
- The video should contain efforts/ significant contributions/ best practices used in different parts of the country in the field of water conservation, water utilization or water resources development and management.
- The video must not be provocative, objectionable or inappropriate.
- One applicant can participate only once.
- The video must be of 2 to 10 minutes long in Hindi or English or any other Regional language.
- The prize money will be transferred through RTGS/NEFT.
- Any participant who is a government employee must take prior permission from his/her employer to take part in this contest.
