About The Program
Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search Senior Scholarship Test (JBNSTS) 2025 is an opportunity offered by the *Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search for students who have passed or appeared for Class 12 examination in the year 2025. This scheme caters to the development of creatively talented undergraduate students studying Basic Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in registered institutions of West Bengal. Selected candidates will receive a scholarship of ₹4,000 per month, an annual book grant of ₹5,000 for 4/5 years & other benefits.
*Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search is an autonomous institute under the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal.

EligibilityDeadline Date: 31-Jul-2025
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian national and domicile of West Bengal
- have passed/appeared for the Class 12 examination(WBCHSE / CBSE / ISC / Visva-Bharati Board) in 2025
- be pursuing/aspiring to pursue BSc.(H)/MSc., BS-MS, engineering, medicine at any registered institution in West Bengal
Note:-
- Students enrolled in a Diploma course, or B.Sc. Nursing programs are ineligible to apply.
- Students pursuing the following BSc.(H)/M.Sc. courses can apply:

Benefits
Selected candidates will receive:
- ₹4000 per month for 4 / 4.5 / 5 years as applicable based on the duration of the course
- An annual book grant of ₹5000 for 4/5 years as applicable based on the duration of

- Laptop for top 10 boys and top 10 girls ranked in this examination
- Engagement in different enrichment programs, workshops, research practices, seminars, science camps, and research projects.
Documents
- A scanned copy of the Class 10 and 12 marksheet (JPEG/PDF, 1MB size)
- A scanned image of the applicant's signature (JPG/JPEG, max 50KB size)
- A recent, high-resolution, passport-sized photograph of the applicant (JPG/JPEG, max 100KB size)

Eligible applicants can follow these steps to apply:-

Step 3: Navigate to ‘Apply online for SENIOR TALENT SEARCH TEST/SENIOR BIGYANI KANYA MEDHA BRITTI 2025’ at the bottom of the page and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in the required information, upload the necessary documents and click ‘Click here for FINAL SUBMISSION AND ONLINE PAYMENT’.
Step 5: Make the online payment of a non-refundable application fee of ₹200 through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/Wallet & UPI at the time of submission and submit the application.
