Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search Senior Scholarship Test (JBNSTS) 2024 is an opportunity offered by the *Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search for students who have passed H.S. or an equivalent examination in the year 2024. This scheme caters to the development of creatively talented undergraduate students studying Basic Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in registered institutions of West Bengal. It aims to conserve scientific talent and ensure the nation's need for science and technology personnel can be met. Selected candidates will receive a scholarship of ₹4,000 and an annual book grant of ₹5,000.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian national and domicile of West Bengal
- have passed the higher senior secondary or equivalent examination in the current year
- be enrolled in an undergraduate program in B.Sc. (Honours), Engineering, or Medicine at any registered institution in West Bengal
Note:- Students who passed the qualifying exam before 2024 or are enrolled in a B.Sc. Pass course, Diploma course, or B.Sc. Nursing programs are ineligible to apply.
Benefits
Selected students will receive a monthly scholarship of ₹4,000 and an annual book grant of ₹5,000 for 4/5 years till completion of B.Tech./B.E./MBBS/BS- MS./M.Sc. degree.
Female students selected for Senior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti will receive the following benefits:
- A monthly scholarship of ₹4,000
- An annual book grant of ₹5,000 for up to 4/5 years until completion of B.Tech/B.E./M.B.B.S./B.S.-M.S./M.Sc. degree
- BNSTS Senior Scholars pursuing a Master's degree in Basic Sciences are eligible for a research grant of ₹80,000 per year (₹60,000 + ₹20,000), following DST INSPIRE norms and regulations set by the Government of India (Note:- This clarifies that the research grant applies only to specific circumstances)

- A scanned image of the applicant's signature (JPG/JPEG, max 50KB size)

Step 4: Fill in the required information, upload the necessary documents and click ‘Click here for FINAL SUBMISSION AND ONLINE PAYMENT’.
Step 5: Make the online payment of a non-refundable application fee of ₹200 through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/Wallet & UPI at the time of submission and submit the application.
