About The Program
Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search Junior Scholarship Test (JBNSTS) 2025 is an opportunity provided by the Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search* to Class 10 or equivalent examination passed students from West Bengal. The objective of this test is to identify, nurture and motivate talented students to achieve their scientific goals and develop their innovative minds. Selected candidates will receive a monthly scholarship of ₹1,250 for 2 years till the completion of Class 12 exams.
*Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search is an autonomous institute under the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal

EligibilityDeadline Date: 31-Jul-2025
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a domicile of West Bengal
- have passed the Class 10 examination in 2025 with a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent CGPA (in aggregate)
- be currently enrolled in Class 11 (science stream) in a recognised school/institute of West Bengal during the 2025 academic year
- have chosen at least three of the following subjects:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Statistics
- Computer Science
Benefits
Selected candidates will receive the following benefits:
- ₹1250 per month for 2 years till the completion of Class 12 standard examination
- An annual book grant of ₹2500 for 2 years till the completion of Class 12 standard examination
- Scholarship certificate
- Exposure to seminar, workshops, and scientific projects collaborated by the scientific community
Documents
- Scanned copy of Class 10th marksheet and admit card (jpeg/pdf format, 1MB size).
- Scanned image of signature (jpg/jpeg format, within 50kb)
- Recent passport size photograph (jpg/jpeg format, within 100kb)
- A scanned copy of one of the following documents as proof of admission to Class 11 (in JPEG/PDF format, 1MB size):
- Fees book
- Letter from the Headmaster/Principal
- School identity card
- Library card
How can you apply?
Eligible applicants can follow the below steps to apply:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and fill in the required details to 'Register'. (Note:- If already registered, log in using the registered email ID.)
Step 3: Navigate to ‘Apply online for JUNIOR TALENT SEARCH TEST/JUNIOR BIGYANI KANYA MEDHA BRITTI 2025’ at the bottom of the page and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in the required information, upload the necessary documents and click ‘Click here for FINAL SUBMISSION AND ONLINE PAYMENT’.
Step 5: Make the online payment of a non-refundable application fee of ₹100 through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/Wallet & UPI at the time of submission and submit the application.

- Applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹100 at the time of online submission.
