About The Program

Islamic Development Bank ISDB Scholarship 2025-26 is an opportunity provided by the Islamic Development Bank. It aims to financially aid meritorious and young Muslim students to pursue undergraduate or first-degree studies and to train them as professionals dedicated to developing their communities and countries. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend and other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • not exceed 24 years of age
  • be residing in their home country (India)
  • have completed senior secondary education (or equivalent of approximately 12 years of education) with major science subjects and good grades
  • provide evidence of language proficiency in the university’s medium of instruction as relevant
  • be in need of financial assistance in order to continue their studies
  • have a strong desire to engage in social services and community development
  • be medically fit and willing to participate in a medical examination after selection

Note:-

  • Applicants who have secured admission in their home country in a recognised institution are desirable.
  • IsDB staff member or Executive Director, his/her alternate, and/or staff of any appointment of the IsDB Group or a close relative by blood or adoption are ineligible for this scholarship.
  • Beneficiary students are ineligible for this scholarship.
Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:-

  • Tuition fees (payable to institution)
  • Monthly stipend according to living costs
  • Books/clothing allowance equivalent to 3 months' stipend
  • Medical treatment cost at institution or local state hospital (once a year)
  • One-time to and fro economy-class airfare for candidates selected to study abroad

Note:- The scholarship does not cover the following:

  • Visa cost
  • Additional travel cost
  • Residence permit fee
  • Educational equipment
  • Family support expenses
  • Separate language training
  • Extracurricular course/training
  • Courses that do not meet the minimum credits required to earn the graduate degree
  • Expenses related to research, supplementary educational materials, field trips, participation in workshops/seminars, exchange programs, conferences or internships.

  • Admission letter/ bonafide certificate
  • Marksheet/certificates of class 12

Note:- Applicants must provide certified English/French translations of the documents in case they are in other languages.

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1:

Step 5: Click ‘Apply for Scholarships’ and choose the respective option.
Step 6: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit the application.

Note:-

  • Applications won’t be considered without a duly filled Google form with a CV.
  • Interns must furnish a declaration of secrecy before the commencement of the internship.

Interview: 2 - 13 May 2025
List of Final Candidates: 15 May 2025
Internship Period: 1 June - 31 July 2025

Selection Criteria
  • The IsDB scholarship can only supplement, not duplicate, other financial support. If awarded, the applicant must inform IsDB of any other scholarships.
  • Sending an application or gaining admission does not guarantee a scholarship, and the applicant should not act on their current employment until officially notified by IsDB.

Candidate Obligations:

  • Sign a surety bond to commit to full-time studies.
  • Return home after graduation and contribute to their community.
  • Provide regular academic reports to IsDB.
  • Repay loans after gaining employment.
  • Avoid other scholarships or work that may hinder studies.
  • Adhere to local laws and maintain professional conduct throughout the program.
