About The Program

The Ireland International Education Scholarship 2025-26 is an initiative by the Ireland Government in partnership with Irish higher education institutions (HEIs) and managed by the Higher Education Authority. This scholarship aims to support top-performing international students who wish to study at NFQ levels 9 or 10 (master’s, postgraduate diploma or PhD) in Ireland. The selected students will get up to €10,000 (approximately ₹9,08,450) for the period of one year.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • be domiciled in non-EU/EEA
  • be a graduate 
  • have conditional or final offer at the time of application

Non-Eligibility: 

  • Prospective candidates who have previously held a GOI-IES scholarship are not eligible to apply.
  • In the context of the continued aggression of Russia in Ukraine, Russian and Belarussian nationals are not eligible to apply.

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-

Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Scroll down the page. 
Step 4: Click on the ‘Click here to apply’ link. 
Step 5: Fill in the required details.
Step 6: Click on the ‘Submit’ button. 

Note: Applicants are required to upload at least two references via the online portal.

The students will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

  • Generic or vague statements should be avoided in the personal statement and in the descriptions of academic achievements and work experience.
