International Science Film Festival and Competition is a three-day workshop on the films related to the topics of science. Science film is an effective tool for science communication which fosters and promotes scientific temper among the citizens. Applicants have to make shorts films of span 5  to 25 minutes.

Any school/college student or a prominent filmmaker can apply in this, they have to submit a film of duration 5 to 25 minutes. The film should be made between October 2015 to November 2016. Films can be in English or in Hindi, if you are submitting in another language, subtitle in English is a must.

The award money will be equally disbursed between producer and director, Trophies will be given to the producer of that film and the certificate will be given to both.

Applicants have to at first register online and then a form should be downloaded, take print out, fill that form and along with the scanned document send via email. A DVD of the film should be sent by post also.
Shortlisted entries will be screened during the festival held in November.

Two representatives will be invited to attend the festival. AC 3 tier to and fro, food, Rs 1500 for hotels will be given for 2 nights only.

    How can you apply?

    At first, applicants have to apply online then they have to send the application form via email and then have to post. Steps are as follows:

    Step 1: Applicants have to register as a delegate for IISF.

    Step 2: Share the film via google drive. Send the same in DVD to Mr. Nimish Kapoor, Scientist E, Science Film Festival Division, VigyanPrasar, A 50, Institutional Area, sector 62, Noida 201309.

    Step 3: Synopsis of the film must be attached while sending via email (MS Word), five photographs of the film (JPEG), One photo of the director and entire crew (JPEG).

    Step 4: If you are going to submit more than one film, you have to register each time. Go to step 1 again and do  to same.

Category B (By school/college students)

Second Prize: Rs 30,000
Third Prize: Rs 20,000
Jury Awards (2 number): Rs 10,000 each
