Aberystwyth University offers International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships that are worth £8,000 in tuition fee discounts over the duration of a 3-year degree scheme. These scholarships are available for international students applying to study a full degree program.
International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships 2017
DeadlineClosed Eligibility Interested candidates need to fulfill following eligibility conditions -
- Must be an international student
- Must have applied for a 3-year degree program at the University
- Must have placed the University as his/her Firm Choice
- Must be a self-financing student (It includes students using overseas government loans to fund their studies).
- Applicants may not have been degree students previously at any university for a period of more than 1 year.
How can you apply? The eligible candidates can apply online by adopting the following procedure -
Step 1: Apply through UCAS until 30 June
Step 2: Select respective choice of course and subject
Step 3: Click on "Apply" and the candidates will be directed to UCAS undergraduate apply page.
Step 4: Fill in all necessary details and prepare all necessary documents.
Step 5: Final submit the application form.
Terms and Conditions
- The details of discount is given hereunder- Year 1 - £4,000, Year 2 - £2,000, Year 3 - £2,000
- Scholarships take the form of a discount on tuition fees. These scholarships are not available as a cash alternative. Where the applicant arranges to pay fees by installment the scholarship will be deducted from the final installment. Where the candidate arranges to pay their tuition fees in full in advance, they will receive the scholarship deduction immediately and the tuition fee will be adjusted accordingly.
- The continuation of all scholarships is based on satisfactory academic performance, as defined by normal progression from one year to the next.
- Students undertaking a 4 year course which includes a year in employment, year in industry, year abroad etc. don't receive the discount for the 3rd year of their course.
- For 2017 entry, Scholarships are available to applicants normally resident in the following countries:
- China
- Hong Kong
- India
- Malaysia
- Nigeria
- Norway
- Singapore
- Thailand
- USA
- Vietnam
As well as a number of scholarships available to well-qualified applicants from outside of the UK/EU.
