About The Program

Inlaks Theatre Awards 2019 invites applications cum proposals from young artists of India below 35 years of age. The award aims at enhancing the skill of the artists in the field of theatre by providing them training workshops, residencies and other activities. 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
An applicant must -
  • Be a recent graduate or postgraduate in theatre arts from a recognised Indian institute. (Note: Special consideration will be given to applicants who do not have a formal degree but possess a record of high-quality past achievements in exceptional circumstances)
  • Be below 35 years of age as on 31 December 2018
  • Not be in receipt of any similar/government scholarship or award during the tenure of the award
Benefits

A total of 2-3 awards will be given to selected applicants based on their proposal and length of the proposed programme. The allowance given to the selected candidate is INR 10,000 per month for the duration of the programme. 

Documents
  • A resume/CV in PDF file format
  • Audio/video - Attach the links of any of the following online platform like vimeo/artist website/ soundcloud/ youtube (If the links are password protected, please provide the password) 
  • Letter of acceptance from the guide, guru, institution, collaborators with whom the applicant intends to work 
  • Proof of birth date (Aadhaar card copy/ PAN card copy/ Driving license)
How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship online through following steps -
Step 1: Visit the official notification. 
Step 2: Click on "Download Application Form" to download the form. 
Step 3: Fill in all required details in the form either by hand or typed. 
Step 4: Attach supporting documents. 
Step 5: Email the duly filled application form along with supporting attachments to info@inlaksfoundation.org with the subject line - "Inlaks Theatre Award 2019". 
More Details
Selection Criteria
The selection of candidates will take place at two levels -
  • The first level of selection will be based on the written application and reference letters.
  • The second level of selection will be based on the performance of the shortlisted candidates in the audition in front of the final selecion committee.
