The scholarship opportunity is open for:
- Students holding a good first degree from a recognised university (Graduate students)
- Indian citizens who are a resident of India at the time of application
- Students who have prior admission to an institution abroad (top-rank institutions only) and have already chosen the course of study
- Candidates who are not older than 30 years of age
Benefits
The selected scholars will receive the following benefits:
- Full waiver of tuition fee
- Adequate living expenses
- One-way travel expense
Note: The benefits offered under the scheme will be up to a maximum of USD 100,000. In the case of scholarship requirement of above USD 100,000, the candidates must show evidence of funding, for the balance of costs, at the time of interviews in May or June.
Documents
The following documents need to be attached along with the application:
- Evidence of admission to the university/course and full details of the institute's financial requirements
- Candidates applying for courses like architecture, fine and applied arts are required to upload samples of their work giving the size of the original, the material used and the date of completion
- The sample work images must only be in jpeg format, not tiff format. Candidates for Film, Dance, Acting, and Music (Western classical singing) must also upload the sample work through a link
- Evidence of outstanding achievement in extracurricular fields (If any)
- Photocopy of the first and the last page of the student's passport

Step 1: Visit the online application portal.
Step 2: Accept the 'Privacy Policy for Applicants'.
Step 3: Provide relevant information including personal information, university education, working experience/projects pursued, proposed programme, references etc.
Step 4: Upload the required documents.
Step 5: Submit the application.

Selection Criteria
- The selection of the students in the first round is judged by their achievements, potential and suitability of the course, project or program that they have applied for.
- An independent Inlaks committee carries out the selection process, applications are analyzed by them and the most deserving candidates are further selected and called for the interview.
- The interview has two parts: Preliminaries and Finals.
Terms and Conditions
- The interview will be held in either Mumbai or Delhi in May or in June, the selected candidates ought to arrange their own travel and accommodation for the interview.
- A clear declaration is required to be made of all the fundings received by the candidate for his/her course.
- The scholarship will not be awarded to candidates whose proposed course of study or specific project requires field trips back to India during the tenure.
- Acceptance of other scholarships, teaching assistantships and part-time jobs are welcome after approval from the Foundation.
- The foundation shall not cover the scholarship if it exceeds USD 100,000.
- The candidate is supposed to show evidence in case the expenses exceed the given amount.
- A candidate can submit only one form.
- Candidate needs to verify his/her email before submitting the application.
- Candidates won't be able to edit any details after the submission of the application.
- The application status of the candidate will be emailed to him/her on the verified email ID.
