About The Program
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi invites applications for Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi PhD Fellowship Program 2021 from PhD applicants. The fellowship aims to encourage students to become a part of the global research ecosystem and contribute to research organisations and universities across the world. Selected students will get fellowship up to INR 35,000 per month and other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Meet the admission criteria for the PhD program in one of the following streams -
- Computer Science & Engineering (CSE),
- Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE),
- Computational Biology (CB),
- Mathematics
- Human-Centered Design (HCD)
- Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH)
Benefits
Selected students will get the following benefits -
- A fellowship of INR 31,000 per month in the first and second year, INR 35,000 per month in the third and fourth year, and INR 30,000 per month in the fifth year
- Additional financial support of up to INR 50,000 towards the purchase of laptop/desktop
- Contingency grant of INR 10,000 per annum
- Institute travel grant of up to INR 2 Lakh for full-time students to present their research work at International Conferences

Selection Criteria
Terms and Conditions
- Candidates qualified for UGC/CSIR JRF, DST INSPIRE, DBT Fellowship are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Fresh BTech graduates with research aptitude are strongly encouraged to apply. The GATE score is not mandatory.
- A PhD student is not eligible for assistantship or scholarship after five years.
- The outstation candidates (non-NCR) who are shortlisted to appear for the written test/ interview, will be reimbursed their travel fare by a second sleeper or public bus fare by the shortest route, whichever is cheapest.
- The reserved category candidates will be given due relaxation in cut-off marks as per the norms.
- There is no application fee for PhD program.
- Incomplete applications will be rejected.
