About The Program

Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur PhD Scholarship 2018 invites applications from PhD applicants. The scholarship is applicable for pursuing a PhD program with specialisations in Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics and Humanities & Social Sciences

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

Engineering discipline applicant: 

  • Applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Engineering including M.Tech, M. E., M. Sc.(Engineering) or MS by Research with at least 60% marks or 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA and bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks or 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA.
  • An applicant with Master’s degree in Science with at least 70% marks or 7.0/10 CPI or CGPA with a valid GATE/CSIR/UGC/NBHM score and a bachelor's degree with at least 70% marks or 7.0/10 CGPA or CPI. 
  • An applicant with B.Tech, B.E. or B.Sc. (Engineering) degree with at least 80% marks or 8/10 CPI or CGPA along with a valid GATE score.
  • An applicant with B.Tech. degree from any of the IITs with at least 8/10 CGPA or CPI with a valid GATE Score Card. 

Science discipline applicant: 

  • An applicant with Master’s degree in Science with at least 60% marks or 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA along with a valid GATE/CSIR/UGC scorecard and bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks or 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA.
  • An applicant with Master’s degree in Engineering with at least 70% marks or 7/10 CPI or CGPA.
  • An applicant with B.Tech, B.E. or B.Sc.(Engineering) degree with at least 80% marks or 8/10 CPI or CGPA and a valid GATE score card.
  • An applicant with B.Tech. degree from any of the IITs with at least 8/10 CPI or CGPA or a valid GATE score.

Humanities and Social Sciences discipline: 

  • An applicant with Master’s degree in Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering or other allied areas with at least 55% marks or 6.0/10 CPI or CGPA along with a valid GATE/UGC/CSIR score.
    • An applicant with B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc.(Engineering) degree with at least 80% marks or 8/10 CPI or CGPA and a valid GATE score card.
  • An applicant with B.Tech. degree from any of the IITs with at least 8/10 CPI or CGPA or a valid GATE score.
Benefits

Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur PhD Scholarship 2018 provides monthly assistantship.  B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent and GATE score or equivalent OR M.Sc. or equivalent in basic sciences and NET qualified applicants will get INR 25,000 per month. M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent applicants will get INR 28,000 per month.

Note:  The applicants need to pay a processing fee of INR 300 (For General and OBC candidates) and INR 150 (for SC/ST/PD candidates) while submitting the application form.
