About The Program

The Department of Social Welfare, Government of Karnataka has introduced the Incentive scholarship scheme from 1st to 4th standard SC students. The key objective of the scheme is to minimize the dropout rate among SC students at their primary educational level. Under this scheme, every eligible child gets an incentive of INR 75/- per annum. All SC students studying from class 1st to 4th will get this incentive.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, a candidate must –

  • Be a domicile of Karnataka
  • Belong to the SC community
  • Be studying from class 1st to 4th in Government/recognized or aided schools

In order to apply for this scholarship scheme, candidates may contact any of the following state authorities –

  • Contact to Taluk Social Welfare Officers at Taluk level
  • Contact to Headmasters to District Social Welfare Office at District level 
Terms and Conditions

Award details

All SC students studying in Government / recognized or aided schools are eligible for the award of scholarship at the rate of INR 75/- per annum.
