About The Program
INAE Travel Grant Scheme 2022 is an initiative by the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) for engineering students. The objective of the scheme is to enhance the quality of engineering education in the country and to inculcate a culture of research among the students. The Travel Grant Scheme is introduced to provide financial support to engineering students to present papers abroad. The selected students will receive variable awards.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Be a pre-final and final year student of B.E./B.Tech. or Integrated M. Tech. degree and first and second-year student of M.E./M.Tech. degree from IITs/NITs/ Govt. approved Engineering Colleges/ Institutions other than by AICTE /Other Universities
- Have a letter of acceptance for presenting a research paper which has been accepted in a conference/seminar/symposium /workshop/exhibition abroad
- Have secured a minimum of 8 CGPA or equivalent percentage and above
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive financial support in the following ways -
- Physical Participation -
- The reimbursement of 100% Registration Fee, Visa Fee and 50% of the actual Airfare for discounted /concessional air tickets in case not claimed from any other source.
- Actual fare not exceeding AC II Class train fare will be admissible for travel from the Technical Institution to the nearest airport and back.
- The maximum financial support per student for all above reimbursements is limited to INR 1.5 lakh.
- Online Participation -
- The reimbursement of 100% Registration Fee was incurred by the candidate in case the paper was presented online through video conference.

Step 1: Click on the "Apply Now" button and read all the fellowship details.
Step 2: Send the complete application form signed by the Head of the Institution with all supporting documents as per the list of enclosures through email at - inaehq@inae.in at least ten weeks prior to the date of presentation of the research paper.

- In case the Application form is not signed by the Head of the Institution, the email should be sent from the Head of the Institution from the applicant's official email ID.
- All supporting documents are to be submitted along with the application form as per the list of enclosures mentioned.
- The submission of a proposal does not automatically mean that it has the approval.
- If the paper is co-authored, then a no-objection certificate(s) from the other author(s) should be attached with the application. In the case of two or more applications for the same paper(s), only one application will be considered, and priority will be given to the first author.
