About The Program

IIT Roorkee Department of Hydro and Renewable Energy (DHRE) Research Associateship 2021 is a research opportunity offered to Ph.D./M.Tech degree holders. The selected fellow is required to work on a project entitled - “Feasibility of Pumped Hydro Storage Projects (PSPs) in Abandoned/Exhausted Mine Pits". The selected candidates will receive a fellowship of up to INR 30,000 to 75,000 per month plus HRA.

To be eligible, an applicant must-

For Research Associate (Electrical/Mechanical System) - 

  • Hold a Ph.D. degree in Engineering in Hydropower Development area or M.Tech degree in Hydropower Development area

 

For Research Associate (Geology Technology / Mines) - 

  • Hold a Master's degree in Geological Technology/Mines

The fellows will be selected based on their performance in the interview and relevant experience.
