About The Program
IIT Roorkee Chemical Engineering Department (CED) Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) 2021 is a research opportunity offered to Ph.D. degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a project entitled - “Optimization of Lithium-ion battery Design and Operation Towards Ageing-controlled Fast Charging: Experimental and Modelling Investigations". The candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 55,000 per month for the first two years and INR 60,000 per month for the third year and a contingency of INR 50,000 per annum.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Hold a Ph.D. degree in the area of Chemical Engineering, Material science, Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering
- Have relevant experience in Fabrication and Testing of advanced rechargeable batteries cells/packs
Desirable Qualifications:
- At least 03 SCI papers were published as the first (or corresponding) author based on the Ph.D. research work.
- Have defended the Ph.D. thesis in the previous three years
- Have hands-on experience and a good understanding of electrode material synthesis, cell fabrication, cell disassembly and characterizations like XRD, FESEM, XPS, TEM, FTIR and electrochemical characterization Iike CV, EIS, Galvanostatic Charge-discharge.
Benefits
The candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 55,000 per month for the first two years and INR 60,000 per month for the third year and a contingency of INR 50,000 per annum.
