About The Program
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras invites applications for the IIT Madras Department of Mechanical Engineering Post-Doctoral Researcher Fellowship 2021 from Ph.D. degree holders. The fellowship is a temporary post of Post-doctoral Researcher under the project titled “Centre of Excellence for Advanced Laser Manufacturing”. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary of INR 35,000 per month – INR 50,000 per month (Based on qualification, publications, experience, etc.).

To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Hold a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, specialization in Laser Micromachining topic will be given preference, OR
- Have 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA and above at UG/PG level (must)
- Have prior experience in operating short-pulsed laser machine (preferred)
Note: Candidates will be short-listed initially based on qualification, and relevant work/ publications, patents, research experience (if any), and only the short-listed candidates will be called for the interview.
