About The Program
IIT Kharagpur Biotechnology Department (BD) Junior Research Fellowship 2022 is a research opportunity offered to M.Sc. or B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. degree holders by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. The selected fellow is required to work on the project entitled - "An Integrated Experimental Vis-a-Vis In -Silico Approach for System-Level Understanding of CO2 Fixation Abilities of Chemoautotrophic Microbial Communities Derived from Deep Subsurface Rocks for their Potential Application In Third Generation Biorefineries(STG)". The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of up to INR 31,000 per month.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Be below 28 years of age
- Hold an M Sc. degree in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Botany/any other branches of Life Sciences with a valid GATE/NET score, OR
- Hold a B.Tech. degree in Biotechnology with a valid GATE score, OR
- Hold an M.E./M.Tech. degree in Biotechnology
Relevant Experiences -
- Microbiology/Molecular Biology
- Have knowledge of programming in Python
- Have knowledge of Genomics
