Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur invites application for IIT Kanpur Department of Physics Research Associateship 2021 from PhD degree holders. The fellowship is meant for the project, "Developing efficient methods for the measurement and characterization of high- dimensional quantum states for photonic quantum information". The selected fellows will receive a consolidated salary of INR 54,000 per month plus HRA as per institute norms.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Hold a PhD in Physics/Optics/Electrical Engineering
- Have a solid theoretical background in quantum mechanics and optics
- Have substantial research experience with experimental projects, preferably in the broad area of optics and quantum information
Benefits The selected fellows will receive a consolidated salary of INR 54,000 per month plus HRA as per institute norms.

Selection Criteria
The selection will be based on the Zoom/Skype online interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed with an email about the date of interview.
Terms and Conditions
- The position is initially for one year. It could be extended up to three years on a yearly basis depending on satisfactory performance and the approval from the funding agency.
