About The Program
IIT Kanpur Civil Engineering Department Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) 2022 is a fellowship opportunity offered to M.Tech. degree holders. The fellowship is meant for the project entitled, "Development of Design Guidelines/Charts for Quick Estimation of Caverns Behaviour & Support layout including openings based on 3D FEM Analysis". The selected fellow will receive a consolidated salary of INR 31,000 per month plus HRA as per IIT Kanpur norms.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Hold an M.Tech degree in Civil/Mining Engineering with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering/Underground Excavations
- Have experience in working on rock mechanics problems
Desirable Qualifications -
- Have prior experience of working on topics related to underground structures with numerical simulations based on finite element computer programs
Benefits
The selected fellow will receive a consolidated salary of INR 3,1000 per month plus HRA as per IIT Kanpur norms.
