About The Program

IIT Hyderabad Summer Undergraduate Research Exposure (SURE) Internships 2025 is an initiative by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad for undergraduate and postgraduate students who are not studying on the IIT Hyderabad campus. The selected interns will be provided a stipend of up to ₹15,000 for two months.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • be a non-IIT undergraduate or postgraduate student
  • be studying in one of the following courses: 
    • M.A. in Psychology 
    • M.Sc. first year (Maths/Physics/Chemistry/Biology) 
    • M.A. first year
    • M.Sc. Psychology 
    • M. Res. in Psychology
    • B.Tech., B.Des., B.Arch., B.A (1st, 2nd or 3rd year)
    • Integrated B.Tech. or M.Tech. program (3rd or 4th year)
  • be a regular student
  • have ranked in the top 20%

Note:

  • This is a full-time Internship, so students interested in part-time or online internships are be considered. 
  • 250 Interns will be selected, out of which 100 positions are reserved for girls only.

The selected candidates will receive the following benefits:-

Note: 

  • In IITH student hostels, interns will get accommodation 
  • Interns are required to manage the mess charges.

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-

Step 4: Click on the ‘Application Form (Apply here)’ link. 
Step 5: Fill in the required details and attach the necessary documents. 
Step 6: Click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Selection Criteria
  • Initial applications will be reviewed, and shortlisted candidates will participate in online interviews conducted by the relevant department or mentor faculty. 
  • Selection will be determined by a combination of academic performance, achievements in competitive exams (e.g., Olympiads, NTSE), and interview performance. 
Terms and Conditions
  • Students can find the final list of selected interns on the SRC Office website under the News/Announcements section.
  • Only successful candidates will be notified regarding the result.
  • The selection of candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be determined by the final and binding decision of the IIT Hyderabad authorities.
  • No further communication or inquiries regarding the selection process will be considered.
