About The Program
IIT Hyderabad Department of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering (MSME) Junior Research Fellowship 2021 is a research opportunity offered to M.Tech./M.E or B.Tech. degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a project entitled - "Post-Processing of Direct Energy Deposition Components: Need Identification and Process Selection”. The fellow will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus HRA for the first two years and INR 35,000 per month plus HRA for the third year.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Not be more than 35 years of age
- Hold an M.Tech./M.E. degree or equivalent degree in Metallurgical Engineering/Materials Science/Mechanical Engineering (with Manufacturing specialization) or related areas, OR
- Hold a B.Tech. degree or equivalent degree in Metallurgical Engineering/Materials Science or related area, with a valid GATE score
Desirable Qualifications -
- Have experience in some of these subjects - Microstructural Study, Metallography Practices, Heat Treatments, Mechanical Testing
- Have knowledge of working with Metals and Alloys, Powder Metallurgy, Metal Additive Manufacturing
- Have experience in handling various Material Characterization, Processing, and Testing Equipment, etc.
Benefits
The fellow will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus HRA for the first two years and INR 35,000 per month plus HRA for the third year.
