About The Program
IIT Hyderabad Department of Liberal Arts Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship 2021 is a research opportunity offered to Ph.D. degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a project entitled - "Cool Infrastructures: Life with Heat in the Off-Grid City”. The fellows will receive a fellowship of INR 55,000 per month plus 24% HRA for (Year 1) and INR 60,000 per month 24% HRA for (Year 2).

To be eligible, an applicant must -
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Hold a Ph.D. degree in Social Sciences or Humanities (Sociology, Public Health, Geography, Development Studies, Anthropology, Urban Studies, Science and Technology Studies, or related disciplines)
Necessary Skills for Shortlisting:
- Have demonstrated familiarity with qualitative research skills (i.e., data collection, entry, analysis, and interpretation).
- Have basic familiarity with quantitative research methods and a willingness to learn and apply newer research skills as required
- Have a strong familiarity with critical social science literature in the project area
Preferred skills:
- Fluency in Telegu and Hindi
- Experience working in interdisciplinary settings
- Experience working with vulnerable populations
- Manuscript writing
- Preparing research outputs to communicate with a variety of audiences

The selected fellows will receive a fellowship of INR 55,000 per month plus 24% HRA for (Year 1) and INR 60,000 per month 24% HRA for (Year 2).
