About The Program
IIT Dhanbad Department of Applied Geophysics (DAG) Junior Research Fellowship 2021 is a research opportunity offered to postgraduate degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on the project entitled - "Joint Inversion of Shear Coupled-PL Waveforms, Receiver Functions, and Dispersion Curves". The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of up to INR 31,000 per month only/as per SERB norms.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Be below 30 years of age
- Have first-class division or a minimum of 60% marks/CGPA of 6.0 (on a 10 point scale) in M.Sc/M.Sc. Tech/Integrated M.Sc/Integrated M.Sc.Tech./M.Tech. in Applied Geophysics/Exploration Geophysics/Geophysics, OR
- Hold an M.Sc.Tech. degree in Marine Geophysics or M.Tech. degree in Geophysical Technology, OR
- Hold an M. Tech degree (Petroleum Exploration) or M.Tech degree [Earthquake Disaster, Hazards, and Mitigation(EHM)]
- Be GATE or NET qualified
