About The Program
IIT Delhi Centre for Atmospheric Sciences (CAS) Junior Research Fellowship 2022 is a research opportunity offered by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi to M.Sc. degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on the project entitled - "Implications of Arctic Sea Ice Melting on Tropical Climate (RP03767G)" funded by the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), Department of Ocean Development (DOD), Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. The selected fellow will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus 24% HRA.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Hold first-class M.Sc. degree in Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology/Oceanography/Physics/Mathematics/Earth Sciences with a valid NET/GATE* qualification OR
- Hold a B.Tech./M.Tech. degree in Atmospheric Sciences/equivalent with first-class and GATE* qualification
*Note - The requirement of NET/GATE examination for the selection to the post of JRF/SRF will be relaxed for the candidates who have graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTls) with a CGPA of more than 8.000 (80% aggregate marks).

- 5% relaxation of marks will be granted to the SC/ST candidates.
- llT Delhi reserves the right to fix higher criteria for shortlisting eligible candidates from those satisfying the advertised qualifications and requirements of the project post.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be informed for the online interview.
- In case of selection of a retired/superannuated government employee, his/her salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
