The Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar invites applications from MSc./MTech students in Atmosphere & Ocean Science/ Meteorology/ Oceanography for IIT Bhubaneswar School of Earth, Ocean and Climate Sciences Junior/Senior Research Fellowship 2020. The fellowship is meant for a temporary research project titled, "The inter-relationship between atmospheric aerosol distribution and tropical intraseasonal oscillations over the Indian region”. The selected fellows will receive a stipend of up to INR 35,000 plus 16% HRA per month.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), an applicant must -
- Be a first-class M.Sc/M.Tech degree holder in Atmosphere & Ocean Science / Meteorology/ Oceanography with valid GATE/NET score
To be eligible for Senior Research Fellowship (SRF), an applicant must -
- Have the same qualification as above with two years of experience.
Note: The candidates with working experience in FLEXPART/HYSPLIT/ MATLAB with a strong background in Mathematics and Atmospheric Aerosols will be given preference.
Benefits - The fellowship amount for JRF is INR 31,000 per month
- The fellowship amount for SRF is INR 35,000 per month
- Additional HRA of 16% per month will also be given to both JRF and SRF

- The duration of the project is three years.
- The initial period of engagement is one year which can be further extended based on the performance of the fellows.
