About The Program

The Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar is inviting applications from first-class BE/BTech/ME/MTech students in Atmosphere & Ocean Sciences/ Physics/ Mechanical Engineering for IIT Bhubaneshwar Junior/Senior Research Fellowship 2019. The research project focuses on the evaluation and development of hyperlocal forecasting system for smart city Bhubaneswar and neighbourhood regions. 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), an applicant must -

  • Be a first-class BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Atmosphere & Ocean Sciences/ Mechanical Engineering/ Physics with GATE/NET-LS and good academic records

To be eligible for Senior Research Fellowship (SRF), an applicant must -

  • Be a first-class BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Atmosphere & Ocean Sciences/ Mechanical Engineering/ Physics with GATE/NET-LS and good academic records
  • Have 2 years of research experience in the relevant area

Note: The candidates with experience in working with WRF, FORTRAN/ MATLAB programming knowledge will be given preference. 
 

Benefits
  • The fellowship amount for JRF is INR 31,000 per month
  • The fellowship amount for SRF is INR 35,000 per month
  • Additional HRA of 16% per month will also be given to both JRF and SRF

  • The duration of the project is three years. 
  • The initial period of engagement is one year which can be further extended based on the performance of the fellows.
