About The Program
IIT BHU Varanasi Metallurgical Engineering Department Research Associateship and Junior Research Fellowship 2021 is a research opportunity offered to Bachelor's/Master's and Ph.D. degree holders. The fellowship requires the candidates to work on a project entitled - “Effect of Temperature and Mean Stress on Fatigue Strength of Turbine Aerofoil Alloy". The selected candidates will receive a fellowship of INR 54,000 per month plus INR 8,640 HRA for Research Associateship and INR 31,000 per month plus INR 4,960 HRA for Junior Research Fellowship.

To be eligible, an applicant must-
Research Associateship:
- Be 35 years of age
- Hold a Ph.D. degree in Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering OR
- Have three years of research, teaching experience after M.Tech degree in Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering
- Have at least one research paper published in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal
Junior Research Fellowship:
- Be 30 years of age
- Have first-class in Bachelor's/Master's degree in Metallurgical/Materials/Mechanical Engineering
- Have a GATE score
Desirable Qualifications:
- Possess the basic knowledge of Fatigue Testing, Materials characterization by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron (Tem)
