About The Program

IISER Thiruvananthapuram Research Associateship (RA) 2022 is an initiative by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram for Ph.D. degree holders. The fellowship is meant for the project titled - "Asymptotic Preserving IMEX-DG Schemes on Adaptive Grids for Multiscale Compressible Flows". The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 47,000 per month.

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for the promotion of high-quality science education and research in the country.

To be eligible, an applicant must -

  • Be below 35 years of age
  • Hold a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics/Computer Science/Aerospace Engineering/Mechanical engineering or related fields

 

Preferable Qualifications - 

  • Have a strong background in partial differential equations, compressible fluid flows, numerical analysis and scientific computing

  • Incomplete applications will be rejected.
  • Only selected candidates will be intimated via email.
  • No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
  • A printed copy of the application form sent by email signed and dated by the applicant along with a recent passport size photograph and photocopies of relevant certificates and other testimonials in support of age, qualification, experience etc. will be collected at the time of interview.
  • Applicants must bring all certificates (original+one copy) at the time of interview for the purpose of verification.
  • The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on the termination of the research project.
  • The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognised Universities/Institutions.
  • The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for an interview. Where the number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large, it will not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates.
