About The Program

The IISER Kolkata Summer Research Program 2025 is an opportunity provided by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata (IISER-K) for students pursuing B.Sc., M.Sc., B.S., M.S., B.Tech., and B.E. courses. This is a two-month internship that provides an opportunity for the students to work with experienced faculty and research groups at IISER Kolkata. The selected candidates will receive a certificate upon completion of the internship.

To be eligible, applicants must:-

  • be pursuing B.Sc., M.Sc., B.S., M.S., B.Tech., and B.E. degrees 
  • be enrolled in a full-time course in a recognised university or institution across the world

How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below. 
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the ‘Register Online’ tab and click on it. 
Step 4: Fill in the required details and upload the necessary documents. 
Step 5: Enter the captcha and click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Selection Criteria

The candidate will be selected based on merit and fulfillment of the eligibility criteria.

Terms and Conditions
  • The summer research program for 2025 is offline.
  • Selected interns will have to pay for their accommodation at IISER-K which shall be provided only on the basis of hostel availability.
  • Interns will have to devote at least 5 to 6 hours on a daily basis to the project for 60 days.
  • On completing the internship, students have to submit the project report to their supervisor for his/her approval. 
  • IISER-K is not offering a fellowship for the Summer Research Programme 2025.
