About The Program
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata invites applications for IISER Kolkata Department of Biological Sciences Senior Research Fellowship 2021 from MSc/BE/BTech/BPharm/BVSc degree holders. The fellowship is meant for the project entitled, “Impaired quality control of Connexin43 and decreased astrocyte gap junctional communication in a mouse hepatitis virus-induced model of human neurological disease multiple sclerosis". The selected fellows will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 35,000 per month.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Not be more than 32 years of age
- Hold an MSc/BE/BTech/BPharm/BVSc or equivalent degree
- Have experience in cell culture, Western Blot, PCR, Immunohistochemistry, Animal Handling and knowledge in Molecular Biology tools and techniques
Basic knowledge of computers for keeping and maintaining records is also desirable.

The selected fellows will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 35,000 per month.

- No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the interview.
- Tenure of the post will initially be for 9-12 months but likely to be extendable for two more years subject to the performance of the candidate and availability of funds.
