About The Program
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata invites applications for IISER Kolkata Department of Biological Sciences Junior/Senior Research Fellowship 2020 from master's degree holders. The fellowship is meant for DST (Technology Mission Division) sponsored INDO-UK project entitled, “The development and implementation of sensors and treatment technologies for freshwater systems in India”. The selected fellows will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 31,000 pm plus admissible HRA for JRF and INR 35,000 pm plus admissible HRA for SRF.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
For JRF:
- Be below 28 years of age
- Hold a master's degree in any branch of Biological Sciences with NET qualification
- Have good communication skills
For SRF:
- Be below 30 years of age
- Hold a master's degree in any branch of Biological Sciences with NET qualification and two years of research experience in the field of Microbiology (Molecular microbiology and/or Bioremediation)
- Have good communication skills

The selected fellows will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 31,000 pm plus admissible HRA for JRF and INR 35,000 pm plus admissible HRA for SRF.
