About The Program
IISER-K Summer Student Research Programme 2022 is a research opportunity offered by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata for B.Sc., M.Sc, B.S., M.S., B.Tech. and B.E. students. The programme provides an opportunity for exposure to a research environment by associating them with one of the Research Groups of IISER during the summer vacation. The selected summer students will receive a certificate after completing the project.

To be eligible, the applicant must:
- Be pursuing B.Sc., M.Sc., B.S., M.S., B.Tech. or B.E. degree from any institution or university across the world
- Be willing to stay on campus accommodation throughout the period of the visit unless the research work requires travelling
- Abide by the rules and regulations applicable to the regular students of IISER-K
Note - KVPY students are especially encouraged to apply.
Benefits
Upon completion of the internship, if a student submits the project report to the supervisor and the supervisor finds the report is worth a summer project, then the student will be provided with a certificate.

- Students may also work in an offline mode if permitted by the project supervisor provided they arrange their own accommodation.
- IISER Kolkata will not provide any fellowship for the Summer Research Programme 2022.
- Any student who decides to join the project should agree to devote at least 5 to 6 hours a day to the project work for 60 days.
