About The Program
IIPE Visakhapatnam Summer Internship Programme (SIP) 2022 is an opportunity offered by the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam to graduate/postgraduate degree holders. The programme provides the students with a platform to explore their research potential by undertaking focused research projects with young and dynamic faculty at the IIPE. The purpose of the SIP is to motivate the students in pursuing their careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The selected interns will receive a stipend of INR 10,000 per month for 8 weeks duration.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Hold a B.E./B.Tech. and M.Sc./MS/M.Tech. degree students from different Indian institutions
- Be a pre-final year student of the following courses
- B.E/B.Tech.
- M.S/M.Sc.
- (Dual degree) M.Tech.
- (Dual degree) M.Sc.
- Fulfil the following minimum CGPA criterion -
- CGPA ≥ 7.5 for IITs/IISc/Institutes at par with IITs
- CGPA ≥ 8.0 for NITs/IISERs/NISER/IIEST
- CGPA ≥ 8.5 for students of other institutes
- ≥ 65% in Core subjects of 10th and 10+2

Terms and Conditions
- The total number of SIP Interns will be about 20 per summer which includes Interns under Institute Funded/Project Funded/Self-Financed.
- The applications are to be signed and stamped by the Head of Department stating that there is no backlog and/or disciplinary action against the said student.
- The applicants will be required to pay the non-refundable application fee of INR 500 through Payment Gateway.
- The internship duration is 8 weeks.
- A maximum of one student per faculty can be funded from Institute Funded Category.
- The living/hostel/transport expenses have to be borne by the Intern.
